How it begun...

Hi everyone,

I am Lenka and this is my very first post of my blog.

Let me introduce myself a little bit more.:)

First, I am so excited about this blog. It's another step forward and I am curious what this going to bring me.

Please, big note! I am not 100% sure with my English and its grammar rules. I know that it could hurt my blog a lot but when I think about it, the authenticity is the biggest key. I need to feel myself with everything I do and I just want to show you who I truly am, with my perfect imperfections.

Alright, so...

I am originally from Czech Republic, born and raised. I moved to Canada in 2013 and learned crocheting around 2014. I don't even remember why I decided to try that. My grandma taught me how to knit when I was a little girl. I was always into crafts. Drawing, especially Lady and Tramp from Disney book I had, I also tried cross stitch with my mom and I was always drawn into those DIY projects.

Anyway, I think it was the moment I saw my coworker with a beautiful scarf she made. I asked how she did it and she said crocheting. So I tried the same one and since than it has became my passion. I started with flower pots and baskets, then I tried hats and blankets. It took me some time to turn my hobby into business. My work permit was limited to my nanny job and I didn't want to do anything illegal.

Once I got my permanent residency I was free to do anything I wanted. I was aiming to get some office job. Improve my English little bit more, try some more serious job. So I found great company and I learned there a lot.

Meanwhile I also opened a small business with my bestie. It's about zodiac products and also blogging about astrology. I create all designs and my friend she writes all the texts. She's the one who is obssesed by astrology from her teenage years. She also took some courses and studied it more deeply. We love to say it's an another way how to know yourself better. You can find there all your potentials, your weaknesses and strengths and it's more like a psychology with just different terms. We still run it in Czech Republic.

In 2019 I got pregnant and since I've been home with my little girl, I got back to my crocheting hobby. When my daughter turned almost 2 and I was (still am) stay at home mom, my priorities changed and I realized I don't want to go back to work from 9 to 5 but to be my own boss with my own rules.

So, here I am. It's going to be a 1 year of Happy Heartsy and it's been an awesome year. Year of challenges, getting out of my comfort zone and I feel the business is a big journey of self-knowledge.

I also brought a little bit of my and friend's business here to Canada. All descriptions of each zodiac sign, colour meaning etc. it's from my friend and I make the products.

Crocheting is my number one and it's also my therapy. I like to say it's my bridge into my soul and I can have the most beautiful conversations. Sometimes I get many great answers just from my inner self and I find it very inspiring. Ok and also I am less mad to my partner or my kid, lol. :)

So what this blog will be about?

About my crochet patterns! So less writing in sentences (it means less grammar mistakes) and more instructions for you.

Also, I think it would be sad if I wouldn't have any post about astrology. So I am sure I will get into it too:) We have so much to tell about this topic:)
