Crochet Monstera Leaf Tapestry

I love plants. I mean, I had to grow into it but now I am a plant lover. I got a Monstera plant for a great deal in Superstore and I am surprised how nicely it grows. I noticed how this plant produces its leaves. It's super cool to see new leaf coming as it has to unroll if that makes sense. I am sure if you have this plant you know what I am talking about.

So I got inspired by my Monstera plant to design a wall hanging with this leaf. I am so happy how it turned out.

The pattern is very simple, it works up pretty fast and if you are a crochet beginner, you can easily do it as well. I have a video tutorial for this wall hanging with everything you need to know such as joining new yarn colour, carry the yarn through the project etc.

If you'd like to support my work you can also purchase my ad free, printable pattern on my Etsy or Ravelry. In the pattern you can also find a well arranged chart with numbers of stitches and yarn colours and also with the graph.

If you enjoy my crochet content but you don't feel like to purchase my patterns it's absolutely ok.:) That's why my patterns are free on my blog so it can be available for everyone!

There's also another way though how to support my work with Buy Me a Coffee (my version is Buy Me Yarn, you know why:) ). It cost you even less than my actual patterns. You can check the link above or the button below for more details.

BIG THANKS for everyone who supports me by purchases, likes, shares, comments, tags or/and feedbacks! It means a lot to me.

I hope you enjoy this pattern and I can't wait to see your Monstera Leaf on your wall.

How to attach the wood dowel:

Once you are done with your last stitch of this wall hanging, leave a long tail (6x of the wood dowel length). With this tail you will attach the wood dowel.

Thread your tail through a needle and start to sew around the wood dowel into every stitch across your last row of the wall hanging. Secure it and weave in the tail. You can also make a little loop out of the yarn and attach it in the middle of your wall hanging so you can hang it on your wall.

How to attach the fringe:

Wrap your colour A yarn around your fingers 32x (1 string is approx. 7" long but it's up to you how long you want your fringe).

Take the yarn off from your hand and cut the yarn at the bottom where your yarn ends are.

Now take one string and fold it on half

Insert the hook into the st at the bottom of your tapestry, put the string at the half on the hook.

Pull through the st, you created a loop on the hook, put the yarn tails over the hook and pull through. Tighten it.

This way you continue for the entire bottom row.

Tada. Your Monstera Leaf wall hanging is done.:) I hope you enjoyed this pattern and I can't wait to see your tapestry hanging on your wall.
